- We use what you give us to prepare your insurance quote, service your policy, and follow up with you by phone, text, or email.
- You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop calling you at any time.
- You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by calling (812) 577-8749 or writing to our office.
1. Who we are
Yellow Ribbon Insurance LLC ("Yellow Ribbon," "we," "us") is a veteran-owned insurance agency owned by Bill Cline and licensed in Indiana and Kentucky. Our office is at 3211 Grant Line Rd Ste 7, New Albany, IN 47150. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through yellowribboninsurance.com (the "Site"), our phone lines, and our text messages.
When you buy a policy, the insurance company that issues it will also give you its own privacy notice explaining how it handles your information. That notice governs the insurance company's practices; this policy governs ours.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. Depending on the form you use, this can include:
- Contact details: first and last name, phone number, email address, street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
- Quote details: the coverage you want; home details (property type, age, square footage, stories, whether it is currently insured, prior claims); vehicle details (year, make, model, use, mileage); number of drivers; accidents or violations; your current insurance company; business type and size; life-insurance details.
- Personal details some quotes require: date of birth, gender, marital status, and military or veteran status.
Sensitive information. Date of birth, claims and driving history, and any health or tobacco answers are sensitive. We ask for them only when an insurance company needs them to price a quote, and we use them only for that purpose.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site we and our service providers receive technical information such as your IP address, approximate location (city and state), browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site (for example, the ad or search you clicked). When you call a tracked phone number on the Site, our call-tracking provider records the call's date, time, length, caller ID, and the page or ad that led to the call, and calls may be recorded for quality and training.
Information from others. If you request a quote, the insurance company may obtain consumer reports about you, such as motor vehicle records, claims history, or an insurance score, as allowed by law.
3. How we use it
- To prepare and explain insurance quotes you request and to help you apply for, buy, and service a policy.
- To contact you by phone, text message, and email about your quote and related insurance products and services, as you agreed to when you submitted a form.
- To answer questions and messages you send us.
- To check that phone numbers and email addresses are valid and to prevent spam and fraud.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To keep records and meet our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations.
Your personal information is not used to train artificial intelligence models, by us or on our behalf.
5. We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing you need to opt out of — but "Do Not Sell" requests are always welcome and will be recorded. See Cookies and website tools to limit advertising cookies in your browser.
6. Calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number on a form and agree to be contacted, we may call and text you about your quote and related insurance products and services, including with automated technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Stop texts: reply STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT to any text. You will receive one message confirming you have opted out.
- Get help: reply HELP or call (812) 577-8749.
- Other ways to opt out: tell us on a call, call our office, or write to us. We honor any reasonable request, and we process opt-outs promptly and no later than 10 business days.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
7. Do Not Call
We keep an internal Do Not Call list. If you ask us not to call or text you, we add your number and honor that request for ten years (or longer if the law requires). Federal and Indiana law require telemarketers to check the National Do Not Call Registry and the Indiana Do Not Call list before calling people who have not asked to be contacted, and we follow those rules. Kentucky uses the National Do Not Call Registry.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and we limit access to people who need it to serve you. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
10. How long we keep it
We keep personal information as long as we need it to provide your quote or policy and to meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping requirements. Records of your consent to be contacted are kept for at least five years after our last contact with you, and Do Not Call requests for ten years. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.
11. Your rights and choices
Indiana's and Kentucky's consumer data protection laws took effect January 1, 2026. Those laws may not apply to a business of our size or to insurance information covered by federal financial-privacy law, but we honor the following requests from any client or website visitor:
- Access: ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy.
- Correction: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal, regulatory, or policy-servicing reasons.
- Opt out of marketing: stop marketing calls, texts, and emails at any time.
To make a request, call (812) 577-8749 or write to Yellow Ribbon Insurance LLC, 3211 Grant Line Rd Ste 7, New Albany, IN 47150. We will confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we generally respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you; we may ask for proof that the agent is authorized. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by calling or writing to us with "Privacy Appeal" in your message. We will respond in writing within 60 days and explain our decision. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Indiana Attorney General or the Kentucky Attorney General.
12. Children
The Site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the Site. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Other websites
The Site links to websites we do not control, such as insurance company account portals and social media. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above. If we make a material change to how we use or share personal information, we will post a notice on the Site before the change takes effect.
